The Center for Spirituality "S. Frances Cabrini "is a work belonging to the Institute of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, founded by St. Frances Xavier Cabrini in 1880, in the rooms of the old Franciscan convent purchased by Mother Cabrini to begin her missionary adventure; for this reason it is called "Cradle of the Institute". Many activities have been held inside, such as: the Novitiate of the Missionaries who were preparing for the Mission; school, orphanage, festive oratory, boarding school, a handicrafts and embroidery workshop. Forty years ago it became a national and international center of spirituality for the Missionary Sisters of Mother Cabrini, but also for think tanks, prayer, Spiritual Exercises and Retreats, and other cultural and religious activities. The "St. Frances Cabrini Center for Spirituality" in Codogno is open all year to parish and diocesan groups, for Spiritual Exercises, days of Prayer and spiritual Retreats, groups of biblical and theological reflection, religious and cultural associations, pilgrimages, schools of vocational training, periodic or sporadic encounters of Christian-Catholic orientation.
